Welcome To Abu Dhabi

Well, we're here. Sorry for the lack of posts, but it took us some time to get settled in, find our way around and -- most of all -- get the computer delivered and set up. It took the State Department nearly one month to get our air freight to us, it took the local phone company 48 hours to get our DSL connection hooked up.

OK, so first off, here's a picture of our new home. It's quite nice, plenty of room, even a little roof deck on the upper left there. Very close to stores and restaurants, and only a 15 minute commute to work in very mild traffic. The "STOP" sign (in Arabic, "qif") is there to prove we're really in the Arab world.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled shrine to our baby girl...

A little tablesurfing in the new dining room...

Then some playing around with Daddy in the kitchen

Playing with her new ball in her room (yes, she can hold the ball by herself...)

Not crawling yet, but doing pushups -- and not even girly-man pushups, but tips and toes pushups!

Then it's time for a bath

And, after Mommy reads a story, time for bed!
