Aubrey Sarah, Day Seven
Ooooh, we have bright open eyes today.
First night home was chaos. She had us up for six hours trying to figure out what to do first, next and last. At some point, Steve went scrounging the house for three thermometers because we had both become convinced that our thermometers were malfunctioning, it couldn't possibly be 70 in the house, it was nuch colder and she was going to freeze to death.
Second night went much better. We got it down to three hours of running about. 50% productivity gains, the envy of any industry.
Day Six: an outing to Babies R Us and the supermarket. But for a diaper change at Babies R Us, Aubrey slept from the moment we put her in the car seat to the moment we got her home. We are deeply and profoundly grateful for a baby with such a good temperment.
Third night, dang, we almost vet'rans, now. Fed her at 10, slept, got up at 1:30 and had her fed and down by 2:40, and she slept all the way through to 5:30. Probably could have made it to 6:15 if we'd have not jumped up and scooped her out of the cradle as soon as she started being cranky.
Daddy & Mommy are going to take a nap, now...
